Established in 2003, Bodega Patritti planted the first vines in San Patricio del Chanar in Neuquen, Patagonia. The Lassia name is born from the ancient Superocean that once covered this part of the globe: Panthalassa.
The 110 hectares of vines surround a modern state-of-the-art gravity-fed winery where wines are made precisely and with every care and attention. The Pinot Noir for the Lassia is selected from clones purely Argentine in source and planted in the plots directly encircling the winery where they are processed within a very short space of time between picking and cold settling. The grapes are then fermented in small volume truncated stainless steel cones, which helps aid and enhance the extraction of both colour and tannins. The wine is then rested in small oak barrels until it is ready to be released.
